Who are we?

Andrew Hartley

After graduating in German and European Studies, I joined one of the top national recruitment agencies.  I spent 10 years working in a variety of roles, the last 5 of which as Regional Director of 13 busy branches, focusing on the South Coast and M3 corridor. Armed with this experience and having secured a significant investment, I took the opportunity to start an independent agency with the aim of setting new standards in Southampton and the surrounding area.  I am very proud that since opening in 2007 we have built up many fantastic relationships with local employers and candidates and have fast become Southampton's busiest agency - being awarded the Best Independent Recruitment Agency in Hampshire 2016 by CV Magazine has been a great acknowledgment of the team's hard work over the last 9 years!  Life out of work has changed a lot in the last few years after the birth of my daughter Isla and son Maxwell and I love spending all the time I can with them.  In any spare time I love to get outdoors and set silly challenges for myself.  2017's challenge is a strong finish in the Etape du Tour, a 110 mile mountain stage of the Tour de France.

Emma Hoskins

I graduated in Sports Science, with all the good intentions of a career in sport.  However, I realised I was never going to be a World Champion, so needed to find a proper job!  After working for a travel company and an office equipment reseller, I walked into a recruitment agency, loved what I saw and the rest is history!  I spent 9 fantastic years working for a national agency and made it into the top 10 consultants.  I was then promoted to run my own branch which I took from strength to strength for 3 years (the highlight was personally being nominated as account manager of the year by a major national client!).  In December 2007 I jumped at the chance to join Andrew with his venture and am really proud to be part of such an exciting company.  I now work part-time as I have two little girls, so most of my spare time is spent chasing after them!  I am very sociable and enjoy sport, especially watching rugby.  I also go to the gym to try to counteract my love of food.

Martin Wilson

My working career started with a local construction company where I undertook numerous roles.  I also completed a City and Guilds qualification in bricklaying and even spent 2 years working in France.  After 6 years with the company I felt as though I needed a new challenge in a new business sector, so I joined one of Europe’s leading insurance companies in their claims department.  After several years and a couple of promotions within the company I left that role to join one of the UK’s largest independent insurance brokers within customer service.  During this time I became Cert CII qualified and developed my passion for customer services and managing customer relationships.  I met Andrew through a family friend and he recommended a career within recruitment, so when the opportunity arose 5 years ago to join the team it was an easy decision to make.  I am really enjoying the challenges of recruitment and the satisfaction of helping people find new jobs and companies the right staff.  In my spare time I love playing football and generally keeping fit.

Sophie Warren

In 2014 I graduated from University with a Degree in Psychology. On leaving University I had previously enjoyed working in hospitality, so jumped at the chance to go to the London School of Bartendering and then continued to work for a further 2 years in hospitality progressing to pub management, before changing course and starting an office and customer based career which I have done for the last couple of years. I was lucky enough to be approached by Martin early in 2018 and was delighted to join the Hartley Resourcing team. I am really enjoying my time here and am excited to see how far I can progress my recruitment skills. It's great working for a company that puts customers first and really cares about finding the right career for each individual. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym and I have previously competed in a number of body building shows. I also enjoy going to the cinema and horse riding.

Clare Fiddy

Having completed my degree in Business Studies, specialising in Human Resource (HR) Management, I have attained twenty years’ experience in various challenging HR roles. During this time I also successfully completed my postgraduate qualifications in HR and joined the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). My career has led me to work on UK and overseas based consultancy assignments, in both public sector and large multi-national Organisations. This included opportunities for long-term secondments in the Middle East and Greece. Since returning to the UK in 2011, I have completed a number of contract positions in generalist HR roles. During this time, my interest in talent acquisition and recruitment have been further developed. In early 2016, I was delighted at the opportunity to join Hartley Resourcing and move to completing a recruitment focused role on a full-time basis. Outside of work, I enjoy travel, attending antiques auctions and completing furniture restoration projects.

Jenny Bradshaw

I graduated University a couple of years ago with absolutely no idea what I wanted to do. I began working within events, first in the education sector before moving into hospitality, both of which I loved. Unfortunately the unsocial hours became too unsocial for me and I thought it was about time I got myself a Monday-Friday job! Through my job search I had the pleasure of meeting Andrew who, along with the whole team, have taken me under their very experienced collective wing. When I’m not in the office I like to go out horse riding and taking part in performances with my theatre group.
